November 16 Information

Tyvex/k

Tyvex redirect to Tyvek. Are they the same material? When I search Google for "tyvex", I can't find anything about Tyvex, just sales listings for clothing products like "Tyvex Overalls". But some of these listings ( example) note that these products come from DuPont, which manufactures Tyvek, so I'm wondering if Tyvex is simply a brand name for clothing made out of Tyvek. It might just be a common misprint that an editor ( Solarcaine, in 2008) decided to make a redirect for. It's likely that some spelling confusion arises from the existence of the similar material Gore-Tex. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 94.2.5.208 ( talk) 02:39, 16 November 2023 (UTC) reply
Note that the image on the sales listing for "Tyvex Overalls" has "DuPont Tyvek" on the packaging of the product, so here it is clearly a misspelling.  -- Lambiam 09:18, 16 November 2023 (UTC) reply
