Eating eggs

In zoology, what does one call the practice of routinely eating eggs? I figured it was oophagy, and we do have an article with that name, but it turns out to be a completely different concept. I was envisioning an animal whose diet consists largely of eggs (e.g. a fox that raids henhouses), not an un-hatched embryo eating other embryos. Nyttend ( talk) 03:21, 4 June 2019 (UTC) reply

As the article notes, few animals eat mostly or exclusively eggs, which is probably why you don't see lots of specific terminology for it: most eat eggs as part of generalist predation behavior. -- 47.146.63.87 ( talk) 23:42, 4 June 2019 (UTC) reply
