Narrowing a Google search

I need to do a regular search for news about certain topics/keywords. How do I get Google to present the results in chronological order and to disregard anything older than 48 hours? With a "simple" search it delivers articles up to several weeks old and lists them in no particular order. I mostly do this on an Android phone using Chrome (if it matters). Don't use news.google.com to search, but use www.google.com, selecting "News", and then, after the search results come up, select "Tools > Recent". ("Tools" is all the way to the right on the bar that begins "All    Images    Maps    News".) Clicking "Recent" gives a drop-down menu with choices "Past hour / Past 24 hours / Past week / ...". There is no option for a time in between 24 hours and one week.  -- Lambiam 19:54, 15 May 2022 (UTC) reply
