- Why was the photo intended for the articles Outfront Media and McLaren Flint tagged? They are billboards. Outfront Media is a billboard company. It is UNAVOIDABLE that it shows advertisements because THAT is what billboards are for. Because the ads are for McLaren Flint, the billboards are also in the McLaren Flint article. The photograph impinges on the copyright in the advertisement. The US does not have Freedom of panorama except for buildings, and this photo is not a de minimis display of the advertisement. That means this photo has two overlapping copyrights, Steelbeard1, yours and McLaren Flint's. The photo cannot be unilaterally licensed for use on Wikipedia under a CC license because of that overlap, and so under policy, we have to treat this is WP:Non-free content. - The problem is that there currently are plenty of non-free pictures in the article. See WP:NFCC#3a. -- Stefan2 ( talk) 21:18, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
- But most of those are NOT current as the billboard company changed its name just last month.
