- Excellent work on the expansion/cleanup. The External links section seems to violate WP:NOTLINK (IMO). I believe only the Japanese Film Database and IMDB should be here. The others could be intergrated into the main body of the article as inline references.

- Thanks Lugnuts. I have removed some of the links. There is more work to do on Shindo's themes and style. The problem is that the current article is based on reading his books, so it would be nice to have a more objective input. But the critical reviews of his work in English are a bit lacking in depth.
