You should be logged in whenever you view or edit Wikipedia. This is because:
- You can receive alerts when someone had left a message on your talk page.
- You (and others) can keep track of your contributions.
You should maintain and regularly check your watchlist.
The articles on your watchlist should, at a minimum, be:
- Your own userpage
- The userpages of your group members
- Our project page
- Your article page
- This page
In general it's also a handy idea to go to your Preferences and check the button that says "Add pages I edit to my watchlist."
