Unlinked page, Dead external links are now handled by other means? Other sub-pages under Wikipedia:Dead External links should be considerd as part of this MFD Sfan00 IMG ( talk) 19:12, 2 May 2011 (UTC) reply

  • Comment - I don't care if this page is redirected or moved, but I don't see the point of deleting its page history. The page was once useful, and its history shows evidence of people working on the list. Graham 87 12:18, 3 May 2011 (UTC) reply

  • Delete This seems to have been a random list. I've looked at this because the Mfd has been repeatedly relisted, and my impression is that this page was not very useful. Perhaps someone with better background knowledge can comment? -- Klein zach 23:07, 17 May 2011 (UTC) reply
    • It was part of a WikiProject called "Dead external links", that tried to systematically fix all broken external links on Wikipedia. The original lists of external links were downloadable files, but JesseW ( talk · contribs) decided to wikify one of them and upload it to Wikipedia. ; I remember that the project used to be fairly active, especially in 2005. Its history has been subsumed into the page Wikipedia:Link rot, and it looked something like this when the page "Wikipedia:Dead external links/300" was created. Unfortunately the link to the latter page in the above revision does not work because of the page move of the dead external links project. Graham 87 09:16, 18 May 2011 (UTC) reply
  • Redirect to Wikipedia:Link rot. Redirect all of Special:Prefixindex/Wikipedia:Dead external links to Wikipedia:Link rot. Doesn't look useful. One of the authors, who is active, has been notified, but hasn't responded. There's another active author who hasn't been notified. I'd like to hear from someone involved before agreeing to delete this or the rest of it. -- SmokeyJoe ( talk) 22:20, 18 May 2011 (UTC) reply
  • Someone interested in our history might want to look at the history. Redirects are cheap. -- SmokeyJoe ( talk) 07:29, 23 May 2011 (UTC) reply
