The story told here simply isn't true. Jimbo thinks it is, but in my opinion, he's wrong. I'm nominating this for deletion as a way of requesting the community to weigh in. If the community disagrees (or if xfd isn't the appropriate way to do that), it will fail, and I'll accept that outcome.

Keep per most of the comments above. Disagreement with factual content in an essay could warrant deletion only in a clear-cut, serious, exceptional case. However, consider userfying; the nature of the content may make it better suited for userspace than Wikipedia space.
