Group nomination of WP:VG's deprecated comments subpages per
WP:DCS. These pages should no longer be used, however new subpages have been created as recently as 2014. It is hoped that elimination of all current subpages will prevent copying this deprecated subpage type from older articles to newer articles, as well as enabling
Category:Video game articles with comments to be used strictly for maintenance rather than to find misposted talkpage comments. What is requested here is a histmerge followed by a deletion. -

Yes to whatever Thibbs is proposing as necessary and mostly non-controversial cleanup after deprecation. ☺ ·

?Thibbs want to make sure I'm on page with you, is your goal is to:
History merge each of the Talk:XXXX/Comments pages TO Talk:XXXX,
Delete the Talk:XXXX/Comments pages without a redirect
Yes that's right. My intention has been to follow (with modifications) the model that was used for
WikiProject New Jersey's 2010 deletion of their Comments subpages. That effort had been implemented strictly via speedy deletion under the CSD-G6 rationale. For the 24 simplest of WP:VG's comments subpages I did exactly this and they were all speedily deleted after I subst'ed them into talk (with appropriate attribution for unsigned posts). The 14 above-listed items represent Comments subpages that are slightly more complex (back and forth comments, incremental changes, etc.). I believe that a histmerge should be accomplished in order to preserve their edit histories prior to deleting them. Deleting them is important in order to prevent their continued use in the future. -
