After two months in user space there are still no reliable independent sources for the subject of this draft article, which remains what it always was: a WP:POVFORK of Morgellons. Guy ( Help!) 14:47, 9 June 2015 (UTC) reply

No problem, this is an old draft of the article which I kept just for purposes of reference while working on the new one.
It was a good faith article. I submitted the article itself here as "fringe science" as a result of the discussion here and later talk on the article here Follow up discussion. Article ended up here. But another wikipedia editor decided that it was not notable enough, and merged it away. Hasn't had a formal AfD as she just replaced my page by a redirect to the Morgellons article. But after discussion on the Morgellons article talk page, I feel that an AfD discussion isn't likely to succeed.
I think it is a matter of differences in interpretation of the guidelines on what counts as notability for fringe science articles. In this topic area, it seems that other editors on the Morgellons talk page generally agree with the author that merged the article away, at least, nobody else stepped into show support for my view there.
I will just back it up off-line for my own reference - and then delete it. You could have just left a message on my talk page to ask me to do that... Robert Walker ( talk) 14:59, 9 June 2015 (UTC) reply
  • Delete - just to say, first, thanks Robert McClenon for saying it is harmless. Just to add though, I'm totally happy for anyone to delete it. I've backed it up now. I see that I am not permitted to delete it while this discussion is in progress but am happy to have it deleted at any time. When I realised that there was no chance of it being accepted as a wikipedia article, I wrote it up as a science blog post instead here Mystery Of Morgellons - Disease Or Delusion - Scientific Hypothesis Of Connection With Lyme Disease and I want to keep the drafts for use in case I do any follow up articles or to refer to when answering comments on that article, but that's all. Don't have to keep it in user space here on Wikipedia for that as it's for my own use only. Have just now deleted all the other Morgellons related material in my user space.
