The result of the debate was Keep (Withdrawn) by nominator. I don't know, when I nominated this, I must have been
under the influence at the time. Normally I would never nominate a page like this. Sorry! Pumpmeup00:46, 12 January 2008 (UTC)reply
This is an non-encyclopedic page, a list of non-notable personal achievements which would normally satisfy the
CSD A7 criteria for speedy deletion (but it's not an article). This doesn't help anyone and is just a place to brag about minor accomplishments unrelated to Wikipedia. At the very least it should be moved to
User:KeyStroke. Pumpmeup04:29, 11 January 2008 (UTC)reply
Keep - Page is presented in the context of providing more information about the user, their interests, and their areas of expertise, which is in line with the spirit of
WP:UP. While it is unfortunate that it takes the form of a résumé, it is a small part of his userspace presented in the proper context. Incidentally,
User:KeyStroke is a user from way back (i.e. so far back he
doesn't show up in the user creation log -
his edit count says June 2004) who has gone inactive, making only
one edit this month to (ironically)
Talk:Résumé. I bring this up because, as an established user in good standing, he may have been receptive to a notice through {{uw-userpage}} or another method, which I humbly suggest you try next time before going to MfD. --

CKCD (Can't Keep, Can't Delete) Well, we should not delete it for the reasons laid out by johnny, especially for the fact that this is a very established user. HOWEVER, in 2008 it violates
WP:UP as "Excessive personal information unrelated to Wikipedia"; take a look at the history
[1], he himself calls it a resumé. In 2008, this is not appropriate. I keep stating the year, because in 2004, when this page was created, it may have been more accepted. Therefore, I would suggest discussion with KeyStroke to drastically trim the content to bring it more into line with the current policies on
WP:UP. Only after failing that would MfD be appropriate. Whew!--12 Noon2¢15:45, 11 January 2008 (UTC)reply
Keep.
User:KeyStroke has made hundreds of contributions to the encyclopedia itself, though he has not been active recently.
WP:UP allows users to communicate about their expertise, KeyStroke chose to do so with a 10kb subpage (quite small really) that is in resume format; this is perfectly in line with
WP:UP. In my opinion, this is very poor form to nominate a small subpage of someone who has been an active contributor to Wikipedia. (What's next, nominating the subpages of
User:Phaedriel?) This nomination has greatly increased the likelihood that KeyStroke will never return to active contributing. That's a shame. --

Comment Let's just call it a learning experience rather than attack the nominator. I believe any long-term editor will understand the situation and not be discouraged. This can be settled through discussion on his talk page. NBD.--12 Noon2¢17:58, 11 January 2008 (UTC)reply
It was certainly not my intent to attack the nominator, and I'm sorry this is how my statement was interpreted. In fact, I tried to word my comment so it was clear my goal is discouraging nominations of this type, rather than the nominator himself. I have been here two years, though I'm not sure that qualifies as long term, and I certainly would not understand if someone felt that the most helpful thing they could do for Wikipedia today is attempting to delete my user subpages, in fact I would consider it borderline harassment. My sincere apologies to the nominator if he felt attacked by my comments. It is out of my deep respect for all this projects' editors that I express my dismay at such nominations. If someone nominates one of the nominators' userpages for deletion, you can bet that I will be first in line to defend him as well. --

keep . Intent of this sub-page was to show credentials for being a authorized editor back when there was talk of only letting people with credentials in an area of expertise modify articles. This page has not served that purpose, but it is also the only wiki form of my resume. I am willing to move it if the location is a problem.
