Talk:Spring onion ( | subject | history | links | watch | logs)

Moved to back to talk scallion, no need for this page to exist unless Spring onion article is restored.Lightgodsy( TALK CONT) 01:19, 17 March 2015 (UTC) reply

Not so. The actual page is a redirect; plant redirects are tagged for maintenance purposes – here to show that WP:PLANTS is curating it. Peter coxhead ( talk) 09:24, 17 March 2015 (UTC) reply
Page was recently created when Scallion was moved there before reversion, that wasn't there before, so unless that is really needed, the page should go- all talk should happen on the scallion page, them both being colloquial names not differing. No, the page is a valid redirect. Redirects between plant names, whether common or scientific, are flagged as plant redirects on the talk page. There are over 6,700 redirects tagged in this way on their talk page. See Category:Redirect-Class plant articles. Peter coxhead ( talk) 21:59, 18 March 2015 (UTC) reply
