Should be kept as a historical piece, like a lot of other outdated pages. ★Trekker ( talk) 21:00, 21 March 2018 (UTC) reply
Comment @ Rathfelder: Exactly which pages are you aiming to delete? Portal:Contents/Indices displays several sub-pages which are shared by the other inter-locking sections of the contents portal. For example Portal:Contents/Indices/Culture and the arts is the third box down at Portal:Contents/Indices and the third box down at Portal:Contents/Culture and the arts. -- John of Reading ( talk) 21:22, 21 March 2018 (UTC) reply

I think they are all outdated and misleading. If they are to be preserved as a record they should be marked as such. Not presented as part of the encyclopedia. Rathfelder ( talk) 21:24, 21 March 2018 (UTC) reply

  • I don't understand is. I think most portals should be archived. This one gets over a hundred downloads per day, last three months, which does not sound like "obsolete". Why is it getting this hits? -- SmokeyJoe ( talk) 01:24, 22 March 2018 (UTC) reply
Portal:Contents is the second link in the left sidebar, just below "Main page", and gets ~18K views per day. Portal:Contents/Indices is linked from the first row of buttons there. -- John of Reading ( talk) 07:16, 22 March 2018 (UTC) reply
What are indices? — SmokeyJoe ( talk) 07:37, 22 March 2018 (UTC) reply
They are alphabetical lists of article names, without commentary. Click on a few entries in Category:Wikipedia indexes -- John of Reading ( talk) 07:44, 22 March 2018 (UTC) reply
