This portal is not chiefly about borders; it's a clever POV-fork in portal space. The main article
Border is featured, and a few links to
List of land border lengths, etc, but the prominently featured content is along the lines of:
Tom Tancredo,
Eurabia (with a featured flag madeup by the portal author),
Mexica Movement,
United States v. Wong Kim Ark,
Jihad Watch, these are immigration issues, not border issues, and they all document anti-immigration POVs. <

Weak delete - I can see how the topic could potentially be made into a portal, but I have to agree that the focus of the content certainly seems to be on the U.S.-Mexican border in general and immigration in particular. That being said, I am not ready to call it a POV fork, as it could just as easily be a product of
systematic bias. Still, the effect is the same, and so I'm leaning towards deletion in the absence of more universal content. --

Strong keep - This portal is about a controversal topic. But I do think that borders and immigration are connected and that this portal is neutral.Tre2 17:16, 9 March 2008 (UTC) —Preceding

Keep - I think portal was created to accompany the creation of a WikiProject relating to the subject, with discussion on the subject now being at
Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals/Archive#Borders. Subject is notable enough, but I acknowledge that the extant content of the portal can and should probably be modified. I don't think that's necessarily enough to call to have it deleted, though.

Delete without prejudice to creation of
Portal:Borders, or rescope and rename - the topics of "borders" and "immigration" are distinct, and I agree with the nom's assessment that (whether deliiberately or by accident) the portal does not live up to its intended/supposed purpose. Black Falcon(

Delete. Conceivably, one could write a great portal regarding
borderlands, but the stridency of this particular portal is unmistakable and should be eliminated with a strong message against such propagandizing.

Keep everything that's nominated for MfD, especially stuff that's as cool as this.
