Portal:Adventure travel

Portal:Adventure travel ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Delete Another problematic single-page portal, that violates the exiting Wikipedia:Portal/Guidelines. One of the articles it cycles through is Gypsy. (WHAAAT?) UnitedStatesian ( talk) 19:25, 4 March 2019 (UTC) reply

  • Delete freighthopping and vagrancy are also not Adventure travel. Did the creator even look at their automated creation? These terms might be ok in the Navbox (or not) but thatnav box has many more appropriate articles for this topic. This nicely illustrates the folly of using navboxes to select articles, with automatic expansion of the portal as Wikipedia expands. Note this is not a TTH portal, but created with his automated system by another user, so would not be covered by X3 as currently proposed. Part of the roughly 1000 new automated portals not created by TTH Legacypac ( talk) 19:31, 4 March 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Delete both on principle about the originator and as a badly implemented portal, but the bad implementation is what you expect when you do hundreds (thousands) of portals because creating portals in 3 minutes is fun. Robert McClenon ( talk) 22:33, 4 March 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Delete Neelix Not technically the same thing but it is sort of the same thing —  pythoncoder  ( talk |  contribs) 13:40, 5 March 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Comment - I don't have much to say about this, but this seems like the second MfD I've seen connected to The Transhumanist that The Transhumanist didn't actually make. This seems strange. Are his portal creations license to delete portals created by other people, too? (note that I am not arguing to keep this -- I generally stay out of portal discussions, as I frankly don't get them, and don't know the standards surrounding them). — Rhododendrites talk \\ 14:40, 5 March 2019 (UTC) reply
See my comments above - TTH created around 3500 automated portals but other users created around 1000 using his instructions and templates. Legacypac ( talk) 18:32, 5 March 2019 (UTC) reply
