Draft:Tatort: Die Kunst des Krieges

Draft:Tatort: Die Kunst des Krieges ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Note: comments imported from [1]

My article of paramount importance has been deleted because of controversial reasons. There was no discussion, so that the deletion of my outstanding article about a notable film is incompatible with WP:deletion policy. Headbomb's line of reasoning was as follows:

  1. "it's very odd for someone to create a draft and move it themselves into mainspace without review." The fact is I didn't create the draft. It was CASSIOPEIA who converted my article into a draft instead of inserting the corresponding template ( Cleanup):

CASSIOPEIA moved page Tatort: Die Kunst des Krieges to Draft:Tatort: Die Kunst des Krieges without leaving a redirect: Undersourced, incubate in draftspace.

Then I adduced the corresponding sources, so satisfying his interest in them.
  2. "I can't see anything about other Tatort episodes, and I don't see that the sources support the 992nd episode being any more special than any other ones." So what? It is a notable film, with the consequence that it deserves a particular article in accordance with WP:NFILM. Everyone can create articles about other 991 episodes. Personally, I merely don't know other Tatorts and have nothing to do with them.
  3. " Tatort: Die Kunst des Krieges also seems to be a bad title for it." I only followed Harold's directions:

Harold přesunul stránku Místo činu: Umění války na Tatort: Die Kunst des Krieges: v ČR asi nevysíláno.

I suppose that Harold's explanation fully applies to enwiki because the film hasn't ever appeared in both the Czech Republic and the USA.
  4. "Is it an episode? a movie?" As I'm not acquainted with TV professional terms I think I am to take into account Anton Bazelinsky's comment:

Це епізод серіалу Tatort, а не окремий серіал.

That's why I brought the description of the film into accord with this change, i.e. I wrote "an episode" ( Ukrainian: епізод) although it was a particular movie. -- Janggun Dungan ( talk) 13:37, 8 August 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Nothing was deleted, I moved a draft-quality article of unknown notability into draft space so that it can get probably vetted through AFC and get feedback from WP:WPTV people. Also this nomination is badly formed, so I'll fix that in a second. ( fixed) I got no real opinion on whether or not this is notable enough, but the sourcing seems to be mostly routine coverage, and I still don't see why episode 992 is more notable than any of the other ones. @ Headbomb: Thanks for your fixing my error). I don’t think that other 991 episodes lack WP:notability. I think that they do not exist merely because people are lazy about creating an article dedicated to their favourite film. -- Janggun Dungan ( talk) 14:08, 8 August 2019 (UTC) reply
That's certainly a possibility. WP:NOTFINISHED and all. But it also raises a red flag. If Tatort is such a notable series, you'd think it would have had some interest in individual episodes/movies/whatever. And that's why input from WP:WPTV would be good. @ CASSIOPEIA: I don't challenge your move. I'm only saying that I've already adduced sources according to your remark. -- Janggun Dungan ( talk) 14:19, 8 August 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Comment: I don't think miscellany for deletion is the right venue for this. Geolodus ( talk) 13:54, 8 August 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Weak Keep as per User:Geolodus. This appears to be a content dispute about the content of a draft. No reason is presented why it should be deleted. Robert McClenon ( talk) 14:31, 8 August 2019 (UTC) reply
Comment. It really is decently common for draft articles to be moved from draftspace to mainspace by the author with a edit summary akin to "ready to be published." That's doubly true for articles that originated in the mainspace then moved to draftspace by a patroller. AFC is a time consuming process, and some folks don't want to wait that long for something they already feel is notable. – MJLTalk 16:38, 8 August 2019 (UTC) reply
@ Headbomb: I'm sorry I'm not an experienced Wikipedian. I've taken a look at the pages indicated by you. Yet I don't understand why my draft is still missing from their report page. Do you mean that I should click the button "Submit your draft for review"? Is this action of mine correct? @ MJL: Yes, I moved the draft precisely because I thought I fulfilled CASSIOPEIA's recommendations. As it was removed from mainspace again, I concluded that this move was tantamount to unsubstantiated deletion which contradicted the rule of WP:reliable sources. It seems I was mistaken. To tell the truth, I'm mainly engaged in " Who is Who" rather than WT:WPTV. While creating an article about Puti Kaisar-Mihara, I simply came to the conclusion that it would be expedient to turn a "redlink" (viz., Tatort: Die Kunst des Krieges) into a blue one. For there is a number of notable artists whose participation in this movie is mentioned in enwiki, among them Harald Krassnitzer#Filmography (selection) a. Adele Neuhauser#Filmography (incomplete). Why not create an article that exists in dewiki ( de:Tatort: Die Kunst des Krieges)? Dewiki offers the rest (991 episodes) of Tatort, too. -- Janggun Dungan ( talk) 21:18, 8 August 2019 (UTC) reply
@ Janggun Dungan: "Yet I don't understand why my draft is still missing from their report page." WP:AALERTS runs once a day. Things will be listed tomorrow. Clicking "Submit for review" will help, although you should withdraw this MFD nomination, otherwise it's confusing since you're proposing both the draft to be deleted and accepted at the same time.
