Shearonink: It's impossible to ascertain what your reasoning is - the deletion nomination is a succession of abbreviations, for instance we see you failing to demonstrate precisely why you think the biography fails the general notability guideline (twice, apparently). This is supposed to be a discussion, so we would expect you to discuss your concerns and demonstrate using more than abbreviations and links why you believe something should be deleted.

Keep. Still “keep” after a considerable change to the deletion rationale. The clear cut rationale of nearly indiscriminate biographies of BLPPRIVATE people of the previous MfD is no longer true, the net is now being cast more widely and indiscriminately. Politicians are NOT private persons, two if not three of these drafts pass A7, they are very drafty and draftspace is appropriate for them. —

Comment. Jonathan H. Steelman or Jonathan Herbert Steelman... I can find no record of this particular person in Indiana, being born in 1931, dead in 2020. I can find no record that such a person has even existed and I even looked in whitepages(dot)com. This particular draft is looking like a possible hoax.

I'm inclined to assume good faith on the editor's part and assume he got bad information from somewhere else, or misspelled a name or got a date wrong by mistake.

Normally I might be inclined to that as well but I searched for variations on that name and cannot find this J.H. Steelman or as any of the variations I came up with. At all. I searched for "steelman 1931-2020" for "Jack steelman Indiana," for Jonathan Steelman/Jonathan H. Steelman/John Steelman/etc. all in (somewhere) Indiana and at least having lived in the 21st Century. There is a John H Steelman who lived in Indiana PA, and some Steelmans in that area of Pennsylvania but I am telling you I can find no evidence that this person, as they are delineated within the Draft, existed or exists or whatever. And, oh, btw neither does this (alleged) "Regional Director" "job" of "Northwest Indiana". This content is seeming more and more to me like a joke (haha, how *funny* amirite) about an acquaintance or an outright hoax. I am thinking
WP:DUCK applies...
