The Royal Opera House is hosting an editathon on stagecraft as part of the annual Deloitte Ignite Festival. Each year Deloitte Ignite see the Royal Opera House offer a series of free events around the building, with a particular focus on involving people who have never been to the Royal Opera House before.
This year Deloitte Ignite is curated by the Royal Opera House's Learning and Participation Department, and focuses on backstage craft. The editathon will run on the festival's opening weekend on 5/6 September 2015. Previous Deloitte Ignite opening weekends have seen up to two thousand people visit the Royal Opera House.
The timings of the editathon are 11am–5pm on Saturday 5 September and 11am–4pm on Sunday 6 September. It will take place in the Paul Hamlyn Hall Balcony, which is accessible for wheelchair users.
Entrance to the Royal Opera House over the opening weekend is free but ticketed. Day passes will be available on the door or alternatively can be booked online here.
The Royal Opera House can provide lunch for up to ten trainers. There will also be a food market as part of the festival.

We intend to go on to the Cross Keys, Covent Garden on both evenings. Sign below if you just plan to join us in the pub.
The theme of the editathon is backstage craft, particularly as used in ballet and opera.
There will be numerous textbooks available and potentially some members of the ROH's current backstage team present. There will also be the possibility for a small group to go backstage. Please note that any photographs taken backstage may not include ROH staff or sets, scenery or props, unless expressly permitted.
