Wikimedia New York City invites you to attend its monthly WikiWednesday Salon on Wednesday, November 30, from 6:30 pm - 8:00 PM ET. The event will be hybrid, with in-person at Brooklyn Public Library by Grand Army Plaza, in the Central Library's Info Commons Lab. No experience of anything at all is required. All are welcome!
We are proud to announce that monthly pizza has returned!
All attendees are subject to Wikimedia NYC's Code of Conduct. In addition, to participate in person you should be vaccinated and also be sure to respect others' personal space, and we may limit overall attendance size if appropriate. Brooklyn Public Library encourages the wearing of masks when indoors, and especially be mindful of those in your proximity.
How to connect: To join just follow this url: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85212519478
If you have not used Zoom before, you will be prompted to download its launcher program. It works on PC, Mac, and Linux. If necessary, you can also connect through Zoom's iOS or Android app, which you can find on the zoom.us website. As a last resort, you can also dial in by phone, calling (646) 876-9923 and enter the meeting ID (852 1251 9478). Please keep in mind that if you dial in by phone you will be able to listen, but will miss all visuals.
(Feel free to add any recent Wikimedia-related events you'd like to share)
(Feel free to add any upcoming Wikimedia-related events you'd like to share)
(please add any recent Wikimedia projects/events/activities you'd like to share with the group or open for discussion. These should be 3 minutes max. Please propose a breakout room for longer discussions.)
(anything at all! We'll do our best to answer if we can)
( talk) 13:09, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
The consortia website says there are 84 members, but the list on the wiki page--which is sourced "2021" contains 86 institutions--Two Too Many.

The consortia list of members:
https://www.oberlingroup.org/group-members
The wiki article with too many members:
Oberlin Group of Libraries wiki page
Here's the challenge: Using the fewest keystrokes identify the two errant institutions and remove them from the list.
Extra Credit: Enumerate strategies to maintain/synchronize this data.
For your convenience I have created a google sheet that contains the institutions from the two sources above:
Oberlin Group of Libraries | Oberlin Group Institution Members
(The last 30 minutes is dedicated to small group discussions. Breakout room topics may arise during the course of other discussions, but feel free to propose one in advance, too!)
