Babycastles and the Wikimedia Foundation IEG grant recipients Art Frick of the UNH Institute on Disability and Dispenser are proud to host several days of workshops, focus groups, and hackathons for accessibility on Wikipedia.
Over the course of three Saturday afternoon sessions, we will focus on the development of Alt Text Tools, a gamified application for increasing the use of Alternative Text across the Wikipedia platform.
We invite anyone to come and help build out pages concerning accessibility and online accessibility in Wikipedia, as well as any accessibility-related hacking. Light refreshments will be provided. Babycastles is unfortunately unable to provide wheelchair access, but remote teleconferencing will be available for those who are unable to attend in person (please let us know in advance!).
We're gonna have things like pizza and stuff! We'll order as soon as we get a count at the event. Comments / feedback / suggestions about food and/or for food selection? Please let us know!
