Where is the issue taking place?

Talk:British Isles naming dispute

Who's involved?
...Cormac and
...Robdurbar
What's going on?
...I claim that the neutrality principle has been breached in this article, and that the article has solidly taken one side of an ongoing and increasingly energetic debate. It is not "officially" accepted that Ireland is part of the British Isles. I initially made some major changes to this article, which were reverted. I then attempted to discuss the issue rationally, and to arrive at a consensus that was fair. This was rejected, and you can see the discussion on the discussion page. I then made some minor edits to the introductory paragraph, which were reverted. I have now made them again, but expect them to be reverted again.
What would you like to change about that?
...I would like some mediation, to help arrive at a fair consensus. I don't want my point of view to trump the other. I would just like at least the introductory paragraph to be redrafted as neutral.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
...I don't require you to work discreetly. I would be happy for this to be done openly on the discussion page. (Also, is it possible to delete my email address from the previous edit - I don't want spam engines to pick it up. I can't believe I was that clumsy to put my email address here!).
