Where is the issue taking place?
Wahl, Talk:Wahl, and User talk:Sheynhertz-Unbayg
(note the absence of User talk:Run! and User talk:WAvegetarian)
Who's involved?
User:Sheynhertz-Unbayg, User:Run!, User:WAvegetarian
What's going on?
Sheynhertz has added massive amounts of bulk info from various German language sources into semi-related articles. The specific issue in this case is the addition of red links to names which have no description or explanation of notability, as well as the addition of much bulk data that isn't commonly found on disambiguation pages and doesn't follow the Manual of Style. There has been a large scale addition of links to de.wiki and a couple of descriptions are written in German. Many of the links have been changed to blue links by making them redirect back to the page the links appear on. Sheynhertz has been asked independently by two editors to join discussion and has refused. Sheynhertz has continuously reverted any attempts to clean up the article. The reason for the attempted changes has been made clear multiple times in calm language but has been ignored. Wait, that's not true. Sheynhertz did respond, by adding {{tl:redlinks}} to the bottom of the page.
What would you like to change about that?
I would like, first of all, for Sheynhertz to enter into discussion. I would like to know if there is a reason for adding the massive amount of stuff which is now cluttering up the page as none has been provided yet. I would like the page to follow the manual of style. I would llike for it to be similar in appearance to the other surname disambiguation pages. I would like for its content to be in English, as this is en.wiki. I would like to not have pointless and confusing circular redirects.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
In general, I like to have everything out on the table, but if you, the mediator, would prefer it to be handled by email I'm okay with that too. I can be reached through my talk page, email, and can make myself available on IRC if the need should arise.

Mediator response

I will be the mediator. Geo. 02:23, 21 June 2006 (UTC) reply

It appears that Geo.plrd has not responded to this case yet, so I am flagging this case as still in need of a mediator. Cowman109 Talk 20:31, 23 June 2006 (UTC) reply
Geo.plrd has contacted at least one of the other parties and directed them here. I have noted below in the discussion that I no longer wish to pursue this case per the reasons stated below. — WAvegetarian(talk) 22:35, 23 June 2006 (UTC) reply

Discussion

While using the talk page of the article in question to solve a dispute is encouraged to involve a larger audience, feel free to discuss the case below if that is not possible. Other mediators are also encouraged to join in on the discussion as Wikipedia is based on consensus.

I had a very similar encounter with Sheynhertz very recently, see Talk:kugel (disambiguation), User talk:Sheynhertz-Unbayg. I also attempted to engage him in discussion with him, and was similarly ignored. In desperation, I split off his material into German words and surnames derived from the word kugel. When I remonstrated with him about his behavior, he removed my comments from his talk page, and I got this hysterical response.
This was quite worrying, and I made Mediation Cabal request on as well. Apparently, an admin is being consulted about him. I'm betting that he's quite disturbed. He should be handled very carefully and with due regard to his wellbeing. I'm no psychologist, but it sounds like he's actually capable of doing himself harm, and might fly off the handle at any point. So please handle him with kid gloves. There's probably a limited amount of intervention that anyone on WP can do but still, in this case, I'd say that the individual's health and wellbeing comes before considerations of WP integrity.
You might also want to consult User:IZAK who seems to have encountered him in more sane incarnation

The Wahl article has been pruned/hacked to bits, depending on your point of view, by User:Mo-Al. These changes have remained in place for almost 48 hours now. Sheynhertz has been contacted by an admin from ja-wiki, although there has been no response that I can see. The related medcab case, while mediatorless, has received a bunch of discussion. Someone notified Jimbo and Danny about an outburst implying Sheynhertz felt another editor wanted him dead accompanied by Image:Human remains.jpg captioned with my future. I feel that the problem is bigger than the scope of MedCab, or at least the scope of this particular case. I would like to close this case. If Geo.plrd wishes to be involved, I suggest switiching to the medcab case titled User:Sheynhertz-Unbayg, but now it seems that this might be better addressed at Wikipedia:Advocate Cabal.— WAvegetarian(talk) 18:46, 21 June 2006 (UTC) reply
Just going through his contributions, it's pretty obvious that this guy has messed up almost all of the articles he's edited. Someone should probably go through these and make sure all of the "onomastics" pages are in category:onomastics. (Even the ones which aren't about onomastics, however, are written in his "distinctive" style) Mo-Al 21:20, 21 June 2006 (UTC) reply
Also, I should probably mention that he recently reverted some of my edits on Koppel. Mo-Al 21:52, 21 June 2006 (UTC) reply
