Bertrand101(
talk·contribs·block log·arb·SPIconfirmedsuspected) Comprehensive edits analysis Bertrand101 is a long-term Wikipedia vandal known for adding hoaxes and made-up or sometimes bizarre content on several Philippine food, media and retail related articles. They began vandalizing Wikipedia in 2008, initially with different IP ranges and eventually creating their first account (Bertrand101) in July 2011.

DWJM-FM article, (the radio company is a subsidiary of
The Radio Partners, Inc., which controls radio station
DWJM-FM) and creates a hoax article that the said company is a separate television and radio network, usually adding RBC-12 as a Metro Manila TV station (there is NO existing Channel 12 in Metro Manila, as an evidence,
DZOE-TV operates at Channel 11) and adding a hoax AM radio network named "Radyo Pulso", usually using DZAP-AM 1152 as the "flagship station's" callsign, and adding either one or all of the artists mentioned in the Us Girls hoax above. Examples:1,
2,
3,
4
Edits the
Banahaw Broadcasting Corporation article, changing all references to make it look like the station was "revived". The anon usually adds a new section and describes (in broken English) that the network was revived and took over
Studio 23 and its flagship station
DWAC-TV. He also does the same edits on the
Studio 23 and
DWAC-TV articles. Also, a familiar pattern will be seen here, he will add to the list of programs aired by the defunct BBC the following shows: Us Girls (any hoax variant), Pangarap Kong Jackpot, and BBC Primetime News. He would normally also edit the
List of ABS–CBN Broadcasting Corporation channels and stations and
List of television stations in the Philippines articles to reflect the "changes" made. Example:1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7,

9,
10.
Edits any or sometimes, all of the program list of

Adding hoax "upcoming" malls of either
SM Supermalls or
Robinsons Malls to his hometown, Santiago, Isabela and/or its nearby towns/cities or provinces (either from Tuguerarao, Bambang, Bayombong, and frequently calls them either of the following: SM City Santiago, SM Supercenter Santiago, Isabela, SM Divisoria City Santiago, SM Calao West City Santiago, SM City Dubinan West Santiago, Isabela, SM City Bayombong among others). Vandal was also seen adding a fictitious "SM Guadalupe" in which he claims that the
Guadalupe Commercial Complex in Makati City has been bought by SM and was renamed as such. Examples:

4,
5,
6,

1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7.
If the vandal creates a sockpuppet, he usually creates hoax news programs then adds them at the
List of programs aired by Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation and adds the personalities that were mentioned above. Sometimes, he also uploads pictures of these personalities to Commons by taking a snapshot from a television using a low-resolution digital camera.
Bertrand101 also makes new accounts based on the names of the hoax radio stations he posts in en.wiki as well as the frequency it supposed to transmit or the company that owns them. Most hoax stations are named as affiliates of "Ahas Radyo" ("snake radio" in English), which he claims to be owned by
Mareco Broadcasting Network or other hoax radio networks. The said company's article has been a target of Bertrand101 from 2015 to 2016 before it got semi-protected due to Bertrand101's activities.
Vandal also uploads copyrighted TV screenshots in Commons, taking snapshots using a digital camera and sometimes includes himself at his uploaded images. Vandal also uploads crudely drawn "logos" or "title cards" of his favorite shows and adds them here in en.wiki whenever an article for it exists. Sockmaster uses the username "Roy Sales" and whenever his account is blocked, he adds a number (or just increments the number of his previous sockpuppet before being blocked) to his username. (Example:
User:Roy Sales 21,
User:Roy Sales 22,
User:Roy Sales 23).
Vandal also uploads photos with the buildings in the Philippines being the subject, and radio towers, which is taken using a digital camera. The photos of the vandal that focuses on the buildings of the Philippines are considered copyright violations, as there is
no freedom of panorama in the Philippines. Also the photos of radio towers taken by the vandal may be out of
scope on Commons. (Example:
User talk:Teddy Santiago)
Bertrand101 is a known cross-wiki abuser. They have also been found vandalizing articles on Wikipedias in Tagalog and other languages of the Philippines (Cebuano, Hiligaynon, and Kapampangan) in addition to the Indonesian Wikipedia. The vandal is currently seen editing entries in Wikidata using IP addresses. If the vandal is seen editing in en.wiki and reported to SPI, please advise the blocking admin to consider a global block.
Bertrand101 is also seen in Commons uploading photos of supposed locations of the hoax radio stations they have created. They have also been found creating categories for their hoax stations in Commons.
They are also seen in
WikiPilipinas, a Philippine-based Wiki encyclopedia. Whenever their user account is blocked there, they would create a new account on Wikipedia using the same username.
They have also been spotted on
OpenStreetMap as
Panko kale Ty and
John Castillo Soberano) and
Google Maps (using various accounts, e.g. "Bulgar Radyo"), where they add nonexistent or made-up landmarks on places in the Philippines, usually related to his interests (e.g. hoax radio networks, "soon to open" malls and chain locations.) Some fake radio stations created by vandal in Google Maps were created along with low-quality fake logos to make them look legitimate. In other cases the only photos are of car radios.
They have been inactive in editing in English Wikipedia after imposing two rangeblocks on the
180.190.0.0/16 and
180.191.64.0/19 IP ranges. They may create new accounts through other Wikipedias or in Commons using the aforementioned IP addresses in order to circumvent the block.
