Six editors including the nominator had been enthusiastic about this at the nomination stage. Why none of them made a single edit in any of the following months needs to be examined. We, as voters, can learn a few lessons from this:

Hi all. On account of Independence Day, we had decided to go for an additional GA of the month for August 2012. The nominations and voting were closed on 20th July itself as we already had less time to work and achieve the desired goal.
Work began immediately on the article and within 10 days, the article was a GA!! Thanks to the brilliant efforts by the editors and the reviewer involved. We were able to achieve the goal well in advance and even aimed for a FAC!
