Hello I've come across with info on Antarctic snow cruiser. I would be very interested due to my ex wife father was the Navy helicopter Pilot who found the Snow Cruiser after it failed and was abandoned. . He also sent back a letter to my ex wife and her sister from Antarctica. Which is world famous with Smithsonian. Plus the Navy Helicopter Pilot was Howard Ordorff. Plus the Pilot cooked a frozen turkey that they found on the snow cruiser everyone said it was perfect. My ex wife name at time was Cynthia Orndorff and her sister's name was Pamela Orndorff. Later in the years Howard Orndorff was head of the Sand Point Naval Air Station: 1920-1970 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.17.213.141 ( talk) 02:33, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
hello,i want to ask a question, how to add a map or pictures in article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lorenzpogi14 ( talk • contribs) 02:36, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
In Help:Footnotes#Footnotes:_groups, it says,
The syntax to define a footnote with a group is:

For the repeated note:

This is what I get:
I tried doing this in my sandbox (after it didn't work in the original article) and the didn't work in my sandbox either. You can check it out at: User:Mike_hayes/sandbox I put after all the entries with a section sign §, but none of them show up under . Could somebody help me please? Mike Hayes ( talk) 09:39, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
Hello there,
This might seem like a trivial observation but I thought it worth asking the question as there does not seem to be any consistency in relation to nationality and how it is displayed on famous people's pages.
As an Australian, I enjoy reading Wikipedia profiles of Australian actors and actresses and seeing all the films they have been in. I have just viewed a number of famous actor's pages and I have noticed that there seems to be an inconsistency in the way that Wikipedia allows contributors to describe where actors were born and now live/reside. For example:
1. Naomi Watts- In the first line of her page it states she is an "English" actress. I have no issue with this as she was born in England and a few years ago identified herself as English and not Australian, despite having grown up her. So be it.
2. Russell Crowe- Again the first line of his page it states he is a New Zealand actor. I accept he was born in NZ but probably now considering himself more Australian, as he has lived here for 35 years, owns a football team here and has an Australian accent.
3. Mel Gibson- As a contrast the first line of his page just says he is a "actor" without specifying nationality. It is not shown in the box on the right hand side either which is presumably where almost "indisputable" facts go about someone, like their date of birth, full name, children and partners etc. I think that this is where the facts about where someone is born should be, along with another heading that says "Residence" or "Current Citizenship".
In Mel Gibsons case he was born in the USA, rose to fame in Australia as an Australian, then moved to the USA where, I think, he now lives and works. So he is an American, but many casual visitors might think that indeed, Mel Gibson, is Australian, when he is now not.
4. Nicole Kidman is similar to Mel Gibson, except that as far as I know she still considers herself Australian and has a home in Australia.
I use these 4 actors as good examples of the inconsistency in relation to the clarity of a subjects nationality and residence on Wikipedia. These are just 4 examples but there are probably thousands of similar ones where someone has created a page and proclaim a famous person's nationality in the first line and others, like Mel Gibson where the information is deeply embedded in the article.
Anyway, as I said I know its not very important, but I have never made a suggestion before, so hopefully it can assist with future clarity in articles. Finally, I wanted to let you know I think Wikipedia is great and it is a wonderful resource. Keep up the good work! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Astralman88 ( talk • contribs) 11:29, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

Can someone help me find a discussion from last year before mid October about using filesharing services. I think I asked here and got redirected to another location to make inquiries.-- TonyTheTiger ( T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 14:16, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
Hi all, I have just created a new page by moving it from my sandbox. Now when I go to my sandbox, I am redirected to the page I created. How can I cancel the redirect so I can start new pages in my sandbox? Last month I nominated several articles for deletion ( Sarah Sharp, Slim Richey, Jitterbug Vipers) and the request for a decision was never resolved. What happens from here? The tags are still on the pages and have been for the month. Upjav ( talk) 16:12, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

To Whomever Might Be Able To Help Me!
I want to ask about how to put the “labels” next to the citation footnotes at the bottom of a wiki page (for additional description etc). I put the numbered sources but when I view them below, there is nothing next to the numbers.
I also want to ask about how I can add another section such as “credits” to the info box on the upper right (first coding sequence). I have tried and reused successful coding but am unable to make it show on the final page. My coding and page views are as follow:

And..one last thing-I want to ask if I have a sufficient number of edits and proper sources in order to publish this page and add photographs. Please let me know what additional steps I might need to make in order to move forward with the publishing.
Thank you for all of your help!
Best, (User:Claudia Caporal) p.s. how can I get “User” to go away…or will it just disappear when I am able to publish my page?
Hello. I have tried to edit the entry on City and Community... this is a journal published by the American Sociological Association, and the official name/title of the journal is City & Community (not City and Community). I can get into the edit section, but this does not allow me to edit the title of the entry. How would we do that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ray Hutchison ( talk • contribs) 19:20, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
My dad served in the Polish Navy in WW 2 and was on both destroyers the From and her sister ship. How do I get information on the crew that served? I have a picture at home and verified that there were 59 sailors lost in Norway when the From was sunk. I have a list of all names that were sailors who were lost however I am looking for more information on the ships and names of those that served. It is my understanding that he also served in the North Atlantic and is due a medal that he does not have from serving there. I hope you can help.
Looking for information on Paul Van Cleef, inventor of rubber cement, the metal clamp of the end of the toothpaste tube, fireproof tape, duct tape, and a hundred or so other products. I remember seeing the page many years ago, but it vanished....
Is there any way to bring it back from your archives? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.76.28.134 ( talk) 21:35, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
