Please crop black space to the left, as well as the little to the right (retain conductor's baton); please also try to make the photo less grainy, if possible. Many thanks! ~ Silence of Järvenpää 20:01, 4 March 2023 (UTC)reply
Please crop image to match the Sibelius one (i.e., perfect square & same sized face ... just above the shoulders and just above the head). Please SVG signature (file is named .svg, but the image previews on the Carl Nielsen page with a white, rather than clear, background) Thanks! ~ Silence of Järvenpää 04:24, 8 March 2023 (UTC)reply

Silence of Järvenpää: Done The svg signature file has a white background and displays correctly on Nielsen's website. I see no point in changing anything about it.

Hi,
PawełMM! Thanks for cropping the Nielsen image for me. A quick clarification on the svg signature: Why is the background appearing in the infobox as white, whereas for other svg signatures (e.g.,
Jean Sibelius,
Robert Kajanus,
Uuno Klami,
Toivo Kuula) it appears as clear and, thus, gray due to the inbox's color? I'd like the Nielsen signature to also appear clear. Thanks for your help on this! ~ Silence of Järvenpää 00:45, 9 March 2023 (UTC)reply
Please, can you make his skin look more smooth and soft, fixing this grainy look? You can zoom it to see it clearly. Thank you --

I'm hoping this is the proper place to ask about this. For years I urged replacement of the image (an amateurish painting of the man in easrly youth) used in the
Gerald Heard article. Finally, after many volleys of communication with various people, a B&W photo was provided to Wikipedia, with proper rights to use provided. It's currently included in the article.
I definitely feel this image is a real step forward. Still, I feel it is flawed: it is low-contrast overall, and the image of Mr. Heard's face isn't distinct enough from the background. In short, the picture has been left in a narrow range of grey tones.
I believe it could be judiciously enhanced, without slightest injustice to the base image. Would this be permitted, or possible? If so, how should I proceed? Thanks.

Hmm, in the article itself, it seems un-improved. The improved image does come up when the little image in the article is clicked — though, not yet in the article's image itself. Perhaos it's just a matter of time?

Please remove watermark, if possible. Plus: 3rd photo: could some white spots on top be removed, if possible? --

I know it's a borderline impossible request, but would it be possible to remove the background and put in something clean to make the image of the cake presentable for the article?

I don't think it is necessary to remove the background completely, just cropping it and lightening it a bit is enough IMO. This is a real object that exists in the world so it is not expected it would exist in a pristine space. Let me know what you think of my proposal above.

I think that you are right...but still the image will not look very appetising. It's a pity, because the dessert is delicious, and I'll have to bake another one to take a decent picture, with a porcelain plate and flowered tablecloth!

I think baking another one is the best solution.

Please remove watermark, if possible (photo 1 & 3). Some repairs (left and right) on photo 2, if possible. --
