From June 2019-May 2021, Andy Mabbett, User:Pigsonthewing was Wikimedian in Residence at Coventry University, based in the Disruptive Media Learning Lab (DMLL) at the university's Frederick Lanchester Library.

The DMLL, in collaboration with Wikimedia UK, recruited a Wikimedian in Residence (WIR) to:

...support an active and creative application of Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects (e.g. Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata) into teaching, learning and wider public engagement activities... through a range of activities with staff, students and the public [and to] establish a network of Wikimedia champions (students and staff) on campus [and] help embed digital fluency and open knowledge activities (such as thematic edit-a-thons and subject based projects) into the curriculum and outreach initiatives.
