The design of these two specific blocks are likely below the threshold of originality and therefore not copyrightable. The description states the photograph is under a free license but does not specify which. Ixfd64 ( talk) 19:02, 10 May 2023 (UTC) reply

I agree, they're under the threshold. I left a message on the uploader's talk page asking about licensing. The Quirky Kitty ( talk) 23:20, 10 May 2023 (UTC) reply
The uploaded responded that they are on vacation for two weeks and will respond when they get back. I'm not sure if the FFD will be open that long. BOZ ( talk) 12:43, 11 May 2023 (UTC) reply
If we decide that the blocks aren't copyrightable, then they have as much time as they need to choose a license. The Quirky Kitty ( talk) 22:11, 11 May 2023 (UTC) reply

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

Thanks for your patience while I was out of town. If the determination is that these blocks are not copyrightable, then I usually make my photographs freely available through Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 4.0 license. (Example: File:Comet Neowise above CFB Comox.jpg) However, if there is another license you feel is more appropriate, please let me know. Guinness323 ( talk) 04:33, 26 May 2023 (UTC) reply

Using nonfree images of a war to illustrate a war is not allowed under NFCC #8. It is specifically disallowed at WP:NFC#UUI #5:

An image whose subject happens to be a war, to illustrate an article on the war. Use may be appropriate if the image itself is a proper subject for commentary in the article: for example, an iconic image that has received attention in its own right, if the image is discussed in the article.

The purpose of the file fails to reach the standard set for use of non-free images. This logo serves little to no purpose in visually identifying the subject of the article, a physical stadium, especially when plenty of free images are available that can serve visual identification much better then this one. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 17:25, 18 May 2023 (UTC) reply

  • Keep. This is the official logo of the stadium, and is being used appropriately in the article's infobox to assist in identification. No free replacement exists. - Eureka Lott 15:10, 21 May 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Keep, as a photo of the stadium isn't a substitute for showing their branding with a logo. The Quirky Kitty ( talk) 19:01, 22 May 2023 (UTC) reply
