  • Keep, looks to be mis-licensed so I have relicensed as a non-free book cover, added a fair use, and switched it for the Commons version on the article. The Commons file should be then deleted as a copyright violation. Salavat ( talk) 08:50, 28 August 2021 (UTC) reply

  • Clindberg, I'd lean towards this not being enough for copyright protection. It's from Washington Mutual so US TOO applies. The text is all pretty standard stuff like "Make a Transfer" and "Check my Balance" like you'd expect to find on any brand ATM or any electronic banking environment. The UI doesn't have much detail that stands out to me either. — Alexis Jazz ( talk or ping me) 18:07, 28 August 2021 (UTC) reply

Crop of Neville Smith (rugby league) of the second photo from http://www.jubileeavenue.com.au/history/history_team1941.php. It was also colorized, but the colorization wasn't done particularly well unless Smith actually looked a bit like a vampire. I have no problem with colorization if done well and ideally with sources for the colors provided. This image has no color sources and wasn't done so well. — Alexis Jazz ( talk or ping me) 17:45, 28 August 2021 (UTC) reply

This image is used on You're a Lady (album). There already is a non-free image on Peter Skellern for identification. The claimed purpose of use in the article (the album article) is "To show Peter Skellern performing at the height of his fame." No prejudice to swapping out File:Peterskellern.jpg for this photo on Peter Skellern, though as this photo of him performing is black and white that's perhaps not ideal either. — Alexis Jazz ( talk or ping me) 18:35, 28 August 2021 (UTC) reply

    • I overlooked the fact that the subject died in 1927, so if it's a photo of him, it's presumably in the public domain. It looks like a scan of a published photo of him. I'm unsure what to do about verifiability of photos. If someone writes that This is a photo of Per Olof Bernhard Wahlberg and someone else adds a citation needed tag, how do we handle this situation? -- Stefan2 ( talk) 21:48, 28 August 2021 (UTC) reply

File:Darjeeling tea Logo.png ( delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Kulbhushan Jhadav ( notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

There is something weird with this logo. The FUR states that This is the logo for Darjeeling tea. The source is listed as Darjeeling tea. However, the article Darjeeling tea begins with Darjeeling tea is a tea made from Camellia sinensis var. sinensis that is grown and processed in the Darjeeling or Kalimpong Districts in West Bengal, India. Since 2004, the term Darjeeling tea has been a registered geographical indication referring to products produced on certain estates within Darjeeling and Kalimpong. In other words, there is no organisation called "Darjeeling tea" which can produce logos. Where does the logo come from? Is the logo relevant to the article? Stefan2 ( talk) 20:27, 28 August 2021 (UTC) reply

  • Stefan2, Darjeeling Tea Association. The logo can be seen on page 16 of [1]. Also on http://www.teaboard.gov.in/. — Alexis Jazz ( talk or ping me) 23:16, 28 August 2021 (UTC) reply
    • Hm. So is this logo important enough to satisfy WP:NFCC#8? The file currently fails WP:NFCC#10c as it is not relevant to the use of the logo. -- Stefan2 ( talk) 17:54, 2 September 2021 (UTC) reply
Stefan2, I was going to say it doesn't satisfy NFCC#8, but after one more search for the origins of the logo I'm now inclined to say it does, also, I wasn't quite right about the Darjeeling Tea Association: "The Tea Board of India, perplexed by the issue at hand, announced the launch of the Darjeeling Tea logo which would limit the branding of Darjeeling to the produce exclusively to the 87 estates of the Himalayan region. Darjeeling Tea logo and brand came to life in 1983 [...] According to the Tea Board of India, the use of the word Darjeeling Tea and the logo are protected as Geographical Indications (GI) in India and as Certification Trade Marks (CTM) in UK, USA, Australia and Taiwan. A major development in this area is the registration of Darjeeling as a Community Collective Mark (CCM) in the European Union." [2]Alexis Jazz ( talk or ping me) 10:08, 4 September 2021 (UTC) reply
But does anyone use the logo? I tried looking at Darjeeling tea packages. This, which I saw in a supermarket, has a different symbol ( File:European Union protected geographical indication (PGI) logo.png), but the Darjeeling tea logo was not used, neither on the front nor on the back. I checked the website of Twinings [3], but I can't see the logo. The logo could of course be on the back of the package (not seen on the website). I see that Lipton has it on the back of the package. [4] If someone invents a logo for the purpose of protecting a brand, but few manufacturers use the logo, then I don't think that the logo meets WP:NFCC#8. -- Stefan2 ( talk) 10:53, 4 September 2021 (UTC) reply
Stefan2, so far I found Yule Tea, Vahdam, Golden Tips, Wagh Bakri ( Gujarat Tea Processors & Packers Ltd), The Tea Cottage (bottom left) and Golden Orange Pekoe. — Alexis Jazz ( talk or ping me) 12:03, 4 September 2021 (UTC) reply
Those are mostly Indian websites, Indian companies and/or companies clearly marketing the tea as coming from India. Maybe the logo has more importance on the Indian market than in the rest of the world? -- Stefan2 ( talk) 12:28, 4 September 2021 (UTC) reply
Stefan2, all English language packaging though, I'd think product for the Indian market would also include text in Hindi. It is possible the logo is valued more in some markets than others. — Alexis Jazz ( talk or ping me) 13:18, 4 September 2021 (UTC) reply

Dubious low quality. Claimed to be "from personal album". No way to verify the uploader was actually besties with the underworld kingpin, no way to verify the depicted person actually is the underworld kingpin in question and not someone's frat buddy. — Alexis Jazz ( talk or ping me) 19:13, 28 August 2021 (UTC) reply
