Weak oppose – I'm not at all happy with the lighting in his shot; left part is way too dark, possibly due to uneven cloud cover. (My own photos from a visit in 1993 aren't up to FP standards, either... ;-) --

Badlands which says in its lead: "Badlands often have a spectacular color display that alternates from dark black/blue coal stria to bright clays to red scoria". I looked at the image again and it seems like a combination of uneven cloud cover and the terrain itself.

Support I'm fine with the soft lighting here, as it helps preserve shadow detail which is useful for high-res shots like this. --
