Original - A mosaic of nine processed images acquired during Cassini's first very close flyby of Saturn's moon Titan on Oct. 26, 2004. The images comprising this mosaic were acquired from distances ranging from 650,000 kilometers (400,000 miles) to 300,000 kilometers (200,000 miles).
Reason
It has superior resolution (2,575 × 2,575 pixels) and very useful to illustrate different areas of
the moon Titan.
Makes sense. I added it to the Cassini-Huygens section; it seems better than the image at the top of the page, but I'll defer to the people working on that article.

Support, and a question: Do Cassini's cameras not have color capability, or is the moon just this grey? SpencerT♦C 22:44, 7 July 2008 (UTC)reply
Not sure. But a lot of "colours" are actually artist's concepts or false colour.

Yeah they do. See page 84 of
this article, which describes the on-board cameras in detail.

I think the issue is that Titan has an opaque atmosphere (see
Image:Titan_in_natural_color_Cassini.jpg). This image of the surface was presumably created at a wavelength capable of penetrating the atmosphere, and it's probably not technically possible to do so in true color. --

Support, per Mostlyharmless. Based on a google image search this is one of the best overview images of Titan.
