OriginalPapal States, Quadruple Scudo d'Oro (1689), depicting Pope Alexander VIII (obv) and Saints Peter and Paul (rev). The initials on the obverse lower edge (ATF) belong to the coin’s engraver, Antonio Travani.
Reason
High quality image, high EV, rare in this condition. Struck during the last three months of 1689, Alexander VIII was only Pope for roughly 15 months until his death in 1691.
