You are doing great, TheFearow. Here are a few suggestions. First, I suggest you enable a forced edit summary in your preferences, so you don't forget to put them. 72% for minor edits is O.K., but it leaves room for imporvement. (Mine is 99 for minor and 95 for major, but I think the tool is buggy, because, I didn't mark some edits as minor on purpose in mainspace for around a week, but nothing chaged. Secondly, pick an article you'd like to expand, and bring to feautred, or at least good article status. I've brought Stanley Cup to good article status. Thirdly, if you are interested in becoming an administrator (we really need more), try to work against vandalism (RC patrol), look out for new pages, (New page patrol), look out for usernames, and participate in deletion debates (AKA XfD). Honestly, I would nominate you for adminship right now. (I'm serious.) RFAs after 1.5 months and 1500 listed edits are virtually unheard of, but if anyone is qualified, I think you are. DeadBot is doing some wonderful work, even as you work out the problems it's having. I couldn't find any major incidents on your talk page, and indeed I liked how you handled the situation at Talk:Camp Ramah in the Poconos.
I'd like you to try a little more article writing. Your most significant article contribution has been about USB accessories, and I'm sure there's more information that you can offer. You might also want to try categorizing pages in Category:Category needed. This kind of work is very similar to WP:DEAD cleanup; I've done both.
Let me know if you're ready to face the maelstrom at RFA, or if you'd prefer to wait a while. I wish you good luck. Shalom Hello 16:26, 25 June 2007 (UTC) reply

A note: The tools below DO NOT show my correct edit count etc. The majority of my edits are on NP patrol. You can get an idea of my edits be looking at user talk space edits, as a lot of them are warning users for newpages. My actual contribution count (can't be checked without DB access or a better method) is probably ~600-700 depending on various things. Matt - TheFearow 21:26, 6 June 2007 (UTC) reply

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
    Well, if it counts, User:DeadBot which is really helpful on WP:DEAD, apart from that I would have to say some of my previous NP patrol and my current work on the DEP list.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
    I have got into a couple, mostly a misunderstanding on a speedy deletion, in which I removed a tag as I mistook the article to be on someone else that I had heard of in the news, and I knew was notable. That got sorted out, and I apologised to the guy that added the speedy and who later asked me about it for wasting his time. Apart from that, I haven't had any major conflicts or stressfull times.

Additionals from Dfrg. msc:

Borrowed from Glen ( talk · contribs), I'm sure he wont mind. These should test you editing skills, and show if you have any weaknesses which you can work on. So, just write your answer next to the Question. Good luck.

Speedy Delete or not:

  1. CSD1 - Yes, A7
  2. CSD2 - No, but tag with {{ advert}} and {{ wikify}}
  3. CSD3 - Unsure, I would leave for another user/admin to decide. Possible A7
  4. CSD4 - Yes, G1
  5. CSD5 - Unsure, would tag with {{ notability}}, {{ wikify}}, and {{ band-stub}}

Vandalism or or not:

  1. [1] - Depends on other edits, I would AGF
  2. [2] - Yes, adding nonsense
  3. [3] - Also depends, AGF again
  4. [4] - No, but I would tag the section with cleanup
  5. [5] - Definate AGF, I would revert but welcome user and point out the MoS.
  6. [6] - No, but I would try and rephrase that.

Have fun! Dfrg. msc 07:34, 5 July 2007 (UTC) reply
