Skater ( talk · contribs · count) Decided to have yet another "How's my driving?" sort of checkup since my return to the Encyclopedia. I currenlty have over 6000 edits to the Encyclopedia, and am wondering how I measure up as an RFA candidate in the future as well. I am also resuming my Admin Coaching with User:Fastily SKATER Is Back 08:46, 16 December 2011 (UTC) reply

Questions

  1. What are your primary contributions to Wikipedia? Are there any about which you are particularly pleased? Why?
I used to be a primarily behind the scenes type editor, being more then happy to fight vandalism, New Page Patrol and the sorts of that. I still do that from time to time as well as Upload log patrolling, but I'm also in article space now. As of right now i have 4 DYK articles with two more awaiting review, and I'm waiting for Aaron Rodgers to be reviewed for WP:GA so I can improve it further.
  2. Have you been in editing disputes or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future? If you have never been in an editing dispute, explain how you would respond to one.
I have in the past, but none since my return. I've opened a few ANI threads which the archives can be searched for, they were so long ago I don't really remember to tell the truth. The best thing to do with situations like this is to stay calm, remember that as hard as it is to believe this is still the internet and it's not going to hurt you in real life. Calmly explain your side of the situation, and listen to theirs and try to gain a consensus. If all else fails go through Dispute Resolution.

Reviews

  • Keep up the good work on article-writing, hope to see more DYKs from you. I would prefer that you work on New Page Patrol, its tougher than run-on-the-mill vandal-fighting and you'll get the most learning experience out of it. - Mailer Diablo 22:06, 31 December 2011
