I haven't read your whole userpage essay, but you seem to be a good, thoughtful person. Your article on Simple Plan is well-organized and may be within reach of Good Article recognition.

I think your approach of editing little by little is good. It's easy to get burned out from trying to do everything all at once. I know from experience. Working effectively while placing other life priorities ahead of Wikipedia is not only better for you; it's also better for Wikipedia. I believe that there is no deadline. That is why I accept the value of Wikipedia despite its flaws, because I know that the community is working to fix the thousands of minor and major flaws, one by one, and the end result will be better than what we have now.

I encourage you to continue your involvement with Wikipedia, and I wish you good luck. Shalom ( HelloPeace) 23:10, 27 November 2007 (UTC) reply

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
As so told on my userpage, I mainly am a WikiGnome who snoops around reading and fixing grammar/spelling mistakes. However, in particular, I've stayed on top of the Simple Plan article (and related articles), as I enjoy the band much so. As for the Simple Plan article, I've almost doubled the content, and, if not for the deletion of many of my sections, I'd perhaps trade the word 'double'.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Most of my edit conflicts have ended quite quickly because I've always tried to discuss the problems on talk pages. However, one instance with the Jenna Fischer particularly did annoy me, although I wouldn't use the word 'stressed'. The user RG2 ( talk) insisted on a free image that was unrecognizable. I however tried to explain to him that the page was regularly editited, and that the fact that no one could find an image, probably meant that we should use a fair use image already uploaded.
