I would want to request possibly late October, but before I do I want to see if there's anything I can improve on first, so that it may have a better chance of passing :). - You are a good editor, you revert a lot of vandalism, you stay cool in conversations and active in RfA's. I'm sure you will get accepted for adminship, at least you'll get my vote. You could use some participation in the AfD though. Michaelas10 18:16, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- The bad thing about having so many user talk pages edits is that they make your article talk page edits as insignificant, which may be considered a bad point (as in not spending enough time working with articles to expand them). This may or may not be a negative vote (luckily not many use the 1FA). Regarding your Image:Thedark.jpg upload, it may be considered a high resolution image, so I suggest either resizing it or tagging it with {{ fair use reduce}}. As for Image:Colleen Mccabe.jpg, the source information is insignificant. Basically any screenshot found through Google can be considered TV screenshot. I would like it to be a bit more specific (Did you take the screenshot? Found it somewhere? Where?). Unluckily, some may not forgive you this mistake, even though you reverted it within seconds. However, the main drawback is that you are a pretty new user. Your first edit was on June 8, and did around 500 edits until August, when you started heavily contributing. By late October you would be accumulating 3 months of heavy edits (maybe 8000 edits). Most times, people complain about the lack of edits, or that the user is too new. I think some will object your RFA due your activity pattern, which would be a pity. I suggest you to wait until December. Six months of exhaustive vandal fighting should secure you the admin status. A last thing: have you overhauled an article since you are a wikipedian? This means, converting a stub into a full article, heavily formatting an article to follow Wikipedia style guides, or adding references to an article? -- ReyBrujo 05:24, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks Rey. I've updated the images - I admit I've not had a lot of experience with them :(. My response to the large number of user talk page edits is that I revert a lot of vandalism, and I will always leave a warning. I also like to welcome users, as well as just talk generally. I had a slow start, but was contributing very regularly in July, until I had to go on holiday (yes, I know that sounds sad but I really didn't want to go). Other than that (and a wedding in Poland) I've been regularly contributing since July. In answer to your question about an article, the answer is yes. I've done quite a lot of work on Cheadle Hulme (see [1], [2], [3]), Jennifer Pike (see [4], [5], [6] and plenty of others. As you know I'm in the middle of editing The Dark (film) which the image was for, to remove its stub. - All of them really - particularly helping out on the Big Brother articles, reviewing afcs, afds and rfas, and reverting vandalism. I also enjoy welcoming and helping out other users.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- Nothing major, but various users sometimes have a problem if I revert their vandalism and leave me a message. I will usually reply and say why I reverted, unless the user did not make any sense, or were downright rude.
