If that is the case, then shouldn't this rename be to completely change the name of the user, so that it doesn't violate the username policy? --

It cant be a promo, he has no user/talk page. —Preceding

See
Wikipedia:Username policy, specifically "Inappropriate Usernames", Jay. Ones that look like company names are generally rejected by the b'crats, especially if they lack edits. -Jéské(

Reason: Hello I intend to create prashantpathak which is my real name but I made a typo there and I need no uppercases. PLease change this. Prashant Pathak 01:12, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Bureaucrat note: Wikipedia's software requires all usernames to begin with an uppercase letter. WjBscribe 01:20, 7 February 2008 (UTC)reply
You don't need to be a clerk to see the obvious note: Aside from capitalization, there's also a difference between Prasahntpathak and Prashantpathak.

Clerk note: It appears you had Caps Lock on at the time of requesting. Do you want "WUVC" or "Wuvc"? -- Ryan Taylor 22:49, 9 February 2008 (UTC)reply
WUVC all cap thanks.
Clerk note: Requesting username does not exist. However, I will change it to the non-caps, as it's pretty clear the requester accidentally left Capslock on. -Jéské(

Allowing username change to Peter Napkin Party (talk · contribs). Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking.
Note however that it would be MUCH faster for you to simply create a new account under that name (just click the link). -- lucasbfr talk 23:30, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Reason: This my real name. This account is a non-admin alternate user of Dlohcierekim. (My name backwards.) I use this account when I edit from a location where I don't want to risk my admin access. Changing the name will reduce confusion and better protect my real world identity. Cheers,

WP:VANISH, as am leaving Wikipedia and don't want my real name everywhere.
Bureaucrat note: As this user is the subject of a current Arbitration case, this request is on hold pending either (a) authorisation from ArbCom or (b) the close of that case. WjBscribe 03:26, 13 February 2008 (UTC)reply
Done given the close of the ArbCom case. Note that, as it isn't appropriate to have someone editing as
Vanished user (
talk·contribs), should you return to editing you will need to either create a new account or have this rename reversed. WjBscribe 19:09, 13 February 2008 (UTC)reply
Reason: I originally contribted as English peasant, but lost my password. My current name is over-long and I'm actually a British republican.
King of the NorthEast 17:12, 13 February 2008 (UTC)reply
Clerk note: So you're saying you joined under English peasant? If yes, there must be a misspelling of the username or something, because there is no "English peasant" registered.

Reason: Please change my user account name from "callmedrno" to "CallmeDrNo". "CallmeDrNo" is what I intended when I first created the "callmedrno" account name. I did not realize back then that account names were case-sensitive. I have tried to create a new "CallmeDrNo" account (and abandone use of "callmedrno") but system complains that CallmeDrNo is very similar to an existing account name and won't create the "CallmeDrNo" account. Please change my user account name from "callmedrno" to "CallmeDrNo", or just create a new "CallmeDrNo" account with the same password as the old callmedrno account. Thank you.

Reason: I'm a fan of Falcon motorcycles and opened this account to edit that page and add what I believed was their logo. I was in fact wrong about thier logo and have had thier link blacklisted I see due to my user name being too close to thier page name. I never meant to get them in trouble and do not want anybody to believe that I am them for I am not. I have now entered my correct name. Please help my change.
