I'm sorry that my attempts to improve the encyclopedia don't meet with your "expectations" of what should be done, but stop constantly belittling my contributions instead of actually focusing on the issue at hand, which is categorisation being done contrary to all other sports articles, which makes it difficult to properly categorise articles. You are effectively passing the buck and just creating more work for other editors. Regarding categorization, I think your suggestions are misleading and inaccurate. It is misleading and confusing to have a player in a category named after a team they never played for. Just because some other sports categories have done it, doesn't make it a universal rule. • Rename/merge per nom (target is a Cat-redirect). The practice is that renamed clubs have categories according to their current name, but needs a headnote recording the old name and that the category includes those who played before it became Yorkshire Jets. This is standard practice for renamed club (and school alumni) categories. There should probably be a cat-redirect for Leeds Carnegie, to prevent it being re-created and populated. Peterkingiron ( talk) 17:16, 7 January 2022 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: Same team with different names at different time in their history. We generally have one category for all team names where a team has had multiple names. Joseph 2302 ( talk) 18:18, 5 January 2022 (UTC) reply

  • And the above made no sense so neither does this. Joseph 2302 ( talk) 21:02, 5 January 2022 (UTC) reply
  • Also, there was never a team called "Hurricanes", they were the "London Hurricanes" and "Brunel Hurricanes". If you insist/ there is consensus on splitting players by the team name at the time, then Hurricanes should be sub-split into two separate categories. Joseph 2302 ( talk) 14:03, 6 January 2022 (UTC) reply
  • Keep - the present set-up is perfect, with Category:Surrey Storm players containing the subcat Category:Hurricanes (netball) players. It is not satisfactory to categorise someone via a team name not mentioned in their article, and cumbersome to go through all articles inserting 'Hurricanes, now known as Surrey Storm'. Oculi ( talk) 21:51, 5 January 2022 (UTC) reply
  • Merge The precedent is that renamed clubs/teams are located at their present name. I have added a short headnote to the target, but if this CfD is successful this needs to be amended to refer to the old names of London Hurricanes and Brunel Hurricanes (with dates). I note that most of the teams appear to be university teams. Is this a professional team? Peterkingiron ( talk) 17:23, 7 January 2022 (UTC) reply
These teams are not university teams. They maybe based at universities or sponsored by universities but the players are not students. User:Djln:Djln Djln ( talk) 19:19, 7 January 2022 (UTC) reply
  • Merge and purge. There are precedents for some US sports teams where there are huge numbers of players with articles, making a split more useful, but this category has only 6 members. Of these, Ama Agbeze and Louisa Brownfield played for London Hurricanes, Chioma Matthews and Sonia Mkoloma for Brunel Hurricanes, and there is no such information about Kadeen Corbin or Abby Sargent in their articles or citations, so I suggest removing them anyway. – Fayenatic London 20:27, 22 February 2022 (UTC) reply

  • Oppose most -- They are not about health (i.e. medical) care but about fitness (gyms, etc.): see the main article Health club, also gym. The possible exception is a Nigeria case which is called a clinic, which may be miscategorised. Despite the name, they should probably not be parented to health care, but to sport. Peterkingiron ( talk) 17:32, 7 January 2022 (UTC) reply
  • Merge somewhere, Peterkingiron has a point in the sense that "health care companies" are not a really appropriate merge target. Nominator's rationale: Proper format. ★Trekker ( talk) 04:10, 5 January 2022 (UTC) reply

  • Comment: I would have said that a hyphen is more appropriate here, as we're combining adjectives to modify "Dynasty". I can see the argument for an n-dash, but a hyphen seems better to me when we're creating a compound adjective rather than saying "from Nerva to Trajan". That said—should it be "Nervo-" to begin with? "Nerva" is a first-declension noun with an a-stem, so creating an adjective with a second-declension o-stem from it looks wrong. P Aculeius ( talk) 10:46, 5 January 2022 (UTC) reply

This is standard practice for renamed club (and school alumni) categories. There should probably be a cat-redirect for Leeds Carnegie, to prevent it being re-created and populated. Peterkingiron ( talk) 17:16, 7 January 2022 (UTC) reply
  • Rename as nominated, and disambiguate Category:Leeds Carnegie players which currently redirects to Category:Leeds Tykes players. – Fayenatic London 20:34, 22 February 2022 (UTC) reply

The parent categories of these, such as Category:Medical and health organizations based in Nigeria seem to be better merge targets. Marcocapelle ( talk) 21:32, 12 January 2022 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: Category for a main article, Outsider literature, which has since been deleted. 93 ( talk) 04:18, 5 January 2022 (UTC) reply

  • Delete, not a defining characteristic of the articles in this category. The first article happens to refer to the subject as an outsider writer, but after that very few articles mention this at all. Marcocapelle ( talk) 06:26, 5 January 2022 (UTC) reply

The parent category is Nerva–Antonine dynasty so I went with n-dash, but overall I don't mind either. ★Trekker ( talk) 12:33, 5 January 2022 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: Parenthetical disambiguators in the middle of a title are pretty rare, and seem to me to be a bad idea.
