- There are already categories for basketball coaches at most American colleges (regardless of state), for basketball coaches FROM each state, and the category Category:College men's basketball head coaches in the United States, which notes individuals who have served as head coaches generally (the school categories include both head coaches and assistants). The intersection of attributes in these categories are not defining as a whole and if the category tree were followed to its completion (all 50 US states), it could cause category clutter for well-traveled coaches. The Gnome, so you are saying that, using this person as an example, if he had become famous for something other than being a film director, say, crime, politics or being a journalist, then this category could exist even though the article failed to mention he is a film director? Your first 4 guidelines are not specifically relevant to categories and the final,

Geographical topics should be categorised in the current administrative areas, so that leaves the scope of the category as only topics related to the history, politics and administration of the council ... and so far as I can see, there is only one such article: Armidale Dumaresq Shire.
