Procedural comment, it is not useful to only rename particular categories, this requires a broader nomination. But the substantive oppose is too blunt - obviously the Catholic churches belong together. The category system in Wikipedia suggests a much wider gap between the
Latin Church and the
Eastern Catholic churches than is realistic, and it also pretty remarkable that the Wikipedia category system takes "Roman Catholic" as synonymous of "of the Latin Church" while in common language "Roman Catholic" is/was mostly used as a synonym of "Catholic". See also

Support though not for the reason given -- If an article has been mis-categorised, the solution is to edit that article and change it. Assuming that "Anglo-Catholic" is not a widely used term in America, we should rename this (and siblings).

Comment "Catholic" should be acceptable anywhere where "Anglo-Catholic" (or other denominations not in communion with Rome) are not significant.

Comment Agree with above; the category covers the years 1398 to 2018, and one year should not be considered in isolation. And "Roman Catholics" includes "Eastern Catholics" who accept the authority of the Pope.

Hugo999: Obviously, many people, including the nominator, consider that in this context (and in many contexts) Roman Catholic refers to the Western/Latin part of the Church, stating the difference with Eastern Catholics.

Support. As always, if there aren't both Latin Church and Eastern Catholic Churches subcategories, then "Catholic" is the generic choice of preference per consistency.
