Nominator's rationale: Improper capitalization. Hemlock Martinis ( talk) 21:20, 2 June 2017 (UTC) reply
Rename to Category:Ceramics of medieval Europe (excluding the very marginal St Symeon (Antioch) article). Many classic types of Islamic and Chinese ceramics in particular are from the "medieval" period, but are not here, nor would a category including them be appropriate or useful. All but one of these cover medieval Europe, which is a good grouping. Johnbod ( talk) 02:31, 3 June 2017 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: delete as anachronistic, there wasn't any state that even resembled current Russia. Note: all articles in these categories are already in the recently created Category:People from medieval Novgorod. Marcocapelle ( talk) 20:36, 2 June 2017 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: Overly narrow topic that's unsuitable for categorization. The sole article in the category has only a tangential relationship to the topic. Hemlock Martinis ( talk) 20:15, 2 June 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Delete. Categories are a system of classification, not of thematic keywording — a person goes in categories that describe what that person literally is (lawyer, writer, etc.), and does not go in broad theme categories for every individual subject they may happen to have written about. Bearcat ( talk) 11:44, 3 June 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Delete -- The sole content is the author of a book that may fall within the subject. She does not belong, which will leave the category empty. Peterkingiron ( talk) 16:46, 4 June 2017 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: Match the parent article, which uses a longer dash. Kailash29792 (talk) 14:04, 2 June 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Rename per nom, but keep the hyphened form in place as a category redirect — not everybody has the ability to directly type en-dashes on their keyboard, and the "insert code" menu isn't always available, so for example the en-dash would make it impossible to add this category to an article via HotCat. Bearcat ( talk) 11:47, 3 June 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Support (with redirect) as this is a duo, not a double-barrelled surname. Peterkingiron ( talk) 16:43, 4 June 2017 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: merge to both parents per WP:SMALLCAT. This categ contains only two articles, or which is up for deletion at WP:Articles for deletion/Mehdi Iskandarli. The parent Category:Venereologists contains only 7 articles and has no other sub-cats by nationality, so there is little or no potential for growth. -- BrownHairedGirl (talk) • ( contribs) 12:27, 2 June 2017 (UTC) reply
