Vegaswikian (
talk) 23:16, 8 December 2014 (UTC)reply
Support Far too narrow scope for such a temporary category. I think the contents of the tree could be upmerged right up to
Category:Proposed power stations in Australia – a grandparent category of the above categories which would contain only twelve articles if the various subcategories were upmerged. I don't think the "proposed" tree warrants this much subdivision at all. The entire contents of
Category:Proposed wind farms would also easy fit on one page of a category if its children were entirely upmerged, for example.

do not merge These are two completely different concepts in two different category trees. The first is actresses who are ethnic Tamils; the second is actresses of any ethnicity appearing in Tamil films.
Hmains (
talk) 04:08, 9 December 2014 (UTC)reply
Keep The latter category denotes performers by language, the latter by ethnicity. Both of these categories are useful in their own way. Indeed, there are people who do not perform in their ethnic language cinema (e.g.
Aziz Ansari) and those of other ethnicities who perform in another language (e.g.
Pooja Kumar). On that basis alone, the distinction is clearly warranted.
SFB 19:23, 10 December 2014 (UTC)reply
Oppose this would assume that all Tamil actresses work in Tamil cinema. Tamil actresses that don't work in Tamil cinema would be excluded from cateogrization, and Tamil actresses would be diluted with non-Tamils working in Tamil cinema, so would no longer represent Tamil actresses. --

Upmerge per nom and precedent. For the record, the Richmond Hill category wasn't left out of the previous CFD by accident — it didn't even exist at the time of the CFD nomination, and was created sometime between the initiation and closure of the batch nomination. And I'll also be taking
Category:Sportspeople from West Nipissing to a separate CFD, because that's a small town (pop. roughly 15K) whose basic
Category:People from West Nipissing category isn't nearly large enough to require occupational diffusion — so if there's any significant delay in closure here (as is increasingly common these days), check the progress of that discussion to see whether the merge target needs to be revised to
Category:People from West Nipissing instead.
