Don't Change: There are several Sri Lankan citizens who have been awarded knighthoods since then. As Sri Lanka is Ceylon, as the country was renamed in 1972 without any geographical changes.

Please check your facts. Only states which have the British monarch as head of state can receive British honours. The British monarch is not the head of state of Sri Lanka and therefore Sri Lankan citizens cannot receive knighthoods. People of Sri Lankan origin may receive knighthoods if they are citizens of UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc but then they should be listed under the respective categories, not this category.--obi2canibetalkcontr18:09, 14 July 2013 (UTC)reply
Oppose per our normal practice. For example Sir
Muthu Coomaraswamy died in 1877 but is in "Sri Lankan" categories as a lawyer, politician, Hindu, civil servant etc. Why should this be different?

Rename per nom. We generally categorize people by the polity they were part of (see
Category:Ottoman people and its sub-cats). With Ceylon to Sri Lanka, since this is just a name change, there is little argument for it in most cases because it would create lots of people in both categories, but with this example, since Sri Lanka was never under the Monarch, we are best off renaming to reflect how things actually were.

Manila Cathedral are not from Spanish colonial era. I'm not sure how to change that. Please advise. --

do not change Neighborhoods are a subdivision of cities and never of counties. When we have populated places that are both cities and counties, the categories normally associated with cities are given city names, while the categories normally associated with counties are given county in their name.

Never is rather harsh especially when you have unincorporated areas. These populated palaces do have neighborhoods (commonly called planned communities) even if they are not in a city. So
Rename to match how articles are named. If people disagree with article names, they can nominate them for change, but for now we should match category names to article names.

Nominator's rationale: This category contains (or should contain) articles about vehicles, not articles about weapons (e.g. missiles) as they are categorized elsewhere. "Air defence vehicle" is the wording of several subcats (e.g.
Category:Air defence vehicles of Russia). Note: The renaming would extend the category scope to include vehicles that carry radars (but not weapons) and air-defence command posts - the subcats already contain at least one such article.
