Edit period(s)(e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): Continious
Already has a bot flag(Y/N): N
Function Details: Updates {{
opentasks}} every 3 hours, querying the MediaWiki API for the 5 oldest tasks in each of the required categories and then saving them to
Template:opentasks
It still seems unnecessary, if they aren't expected to change every 10 minutes, there's no reason to check that often. If there's 14 checks it needs to do (13 categories and the page itself), it will do over 2,000 API queries every day and may not make a single edit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this doesn't seem like such a time-critical page, checking every few hours seems like it would be sufficient. Mr.Z-man15:03, 28 June 2008 (UTC)reply
