There is a strong community consensus (see
Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/RedirectCleanupBot) for this task to be performed by an adminbot - thank you Anomie for agreeing to take it on.
I would propose reducing the condition "The redirect was created more than 4 days ago" to "24 hours ago". This waiting time was not a feature of the original bot and no issues were encountered as a result. If the redirect has only one revision, creation a couple of days ago should prevent deletion - it will most likely result from an article being created with a typo/miscapitalisation and being renamed before being speedy deleted for not meeting Wikipedia's inclusion criteria. No need for such redirects to hang around for 4 days. If for some reason someone has created a redirect to an article they will create later, 24 hours should be more than sufficient.
