A Google Scholar search shows Kantha has been cited 1457 times, with 308 of those since 2019. Through the Wikipedia Library I found reviews of his book An Einstein Dictionary in journals such as College & Research Libraries News and Isis: A Journal of the History of Science in Society (
link for second review). In addition, his books are listed in resources such as The Best Books for University Libraries (2002), Encyclopedia of Legal Information Sources (1993), and Gaithers Dictionary of Scientific Quotations. Finally, Kantha has an entry in
Contemporary Authors (
link). Based on all that, he appears to meet Wikipedia's author and academic notability standards. --
