The result was keep. This deletion discussion does not appear to have been entered onto the daily logs. However, it is well attended and given the near unanimity that the subject is notable, I’ll close this as ‘keep’. Not notable. No refs in the article, and the coverage I find is largely sourced (or possibly sourced) to Wikipedia. --

Keep - I do not see any lack of sources; also, there are already quite extensive articles on him in other languages. Moving the article′s title might be in order, in line with
2015 Russian Sukhoi Su-24 shootdown, but this is but a tentative suggestion. As is clear from the
uk:Філіпов Роман Миколайович, the subject has a dimension outside the Syrian conflict, namely pertaining to the
Ukrainian crisis.

Keep - In its earlier versions, this paper lacked references in English, but now several reliable references are incorporated. Further references, s. above, can also be added (perhaps substituting the Russian references). Notability seems to be evident. --

Keep - Change the very Russian-centric text to be more neutral, however. It is quite slanted. — Preceding

Keep- I agree the article has some construction and flow issues but it should stay up. He is a
Hero of the Russian Federation, which is a pretty significant distinction in Russia, and his shootdown and death attracted a great deal of media attention.

Strong keep. No question about it. The man has plenty of coverage, and it shows in the article itself. Honors such as the
Hero of the Russian Federation should translate exceptionally well for Wikipedia's notability standards, especially since it is Russia's highest honor.

Keep, I can't how is it not notable! The article exists in other Wikipedia languages and that approves it is notable.
