Robert Aubie was born in Bathurst, New Brunswick and moved to Ontario in 1950. He attended school in North Bay and graduated from Teacher's College in 1964. He taught from 1964 until 1996. He was nominated for the Marshal McLucan Distinquished Teacher Award in 1987 and was awarded the Award in The Ontario Science Center along with the other recipients. He was the first Canadian to be presented with the Award,Medal and the $5000 prize His lineage can be traced back to Port Royal in the 1700's.
