Per
this DRV discussion, the previous AFD has been put to one side and the article relisted. The previous discussion was very poor.
Lets hope we do a better job this time. as the closer of the DRV this is a procedural listing so I am neutral.

WP:PROF; Siras won the
Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad award for his 2002 collection of poems. He is notable for having a film made about his life, the ground-breaking court case in 2010 which was brought by Siras and has been a fundamental case study of Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, and he was recognized as a "literary genius" of Mirarathi poetry

Times of India news shows he was notable. Also winner of one of highest state level literary award is enough for notability. --

Keep the subject obviously had a significant career before his death, as signified by the receipt of the award. There is plenty of source coverage, including the above obituary which is largely not about the circumstances surrounding his death. The fact that someone made a film about him five years after his death (which itself is getting plenty of coverage) suggests his notability is not temporary, refuting the
