That's interesting, the resort website mentions "historic ruins of the old town of Taft" and that the resort "was once a Mill town and Railtown called Taft BC established in the late 1800s", so apparently there once was a settlement. We'd still need a reliable source saying that, of course. Where did you find that it's named after the president?

Nevermind, I see that you got that from the BCGN, and that you added sources to both articles. I don't see any evidence yet that either place is/was a settlement and not just a railway siding, though.

Delete Lucas (I thought I'd PROD'd all these stupid railway point "settlements" years ago), and merge Taft per Masterhatch since it's historical and barely any information exists about it. ♠
